Abstract:Shruti Guitar is a new musical instrument designed and developed inspired from the 2000 years old shruti theory described in the Bharata Muni’s Natyashastra. Shruti Guitar is highly significant because it has a specially designed fret-board that re-asserts the paradigm of equal temperament 22 shrutis of ancient Indian musical heritage. This is the theoretical significance and importance of the Shruti Guitar instrument.
